Breeding Policy

We aim to breed happy, healthy kittens typical of the breed standard that will become loving pets and companions, and so our kittens are:

• Born indoors, well handled from birth and raised with children, dogs and usual family household activities  

• Fully vaccinated for Cat Flu, Enteritis and Leukaemia

• Given full vet health checks at nine weeks and before they leave home at 13 weeks (after their full course of primary vaccinations)

• Registered with the GCCF

• Insured with Petplan for six weeks

• Backed up with detailed information on diet and health

We will always try to be on hand if you have any problems or just want a ‘cat chat’!
In return, we would like from owners:

• A good loving permanent home – however, we know that sometimes circumstances change. In the unlikely event that your cat or kitten needs to be rehomed, please do get in touch with us and we will help as much as possible

• We are willing to sell kittens for breeding and showing, but please make it clear to us from the outset why you particularly want a kitten then we can do our best to advise you and pick the best kitten for you.  

• Kittens sold on the non-active register are sold as non-breeding pets and should be neutered between six and twelve months of age. Transfer onto the active register of the GCCF is only permitted by the breeder of the kitten.
