Welcome Welcome to the Aswani cattery website which introduces some of our pedigree cats and kittens. We cannot imagine life without the ‘smiling’ Somalis, their short haired cousins, the Abyssinians and the curly coated, foreign type LaPerm cats which were imported into the UK in 2002. My name is Judy Whiteford and I live in Lincolnshire in the UK with my husband and children, cats and dogs, Koi carp and other small animals. I have been breeding cats for nearly eleven years and have held a GCCF prefix since 1998. Our main aim is to breed sound, healthy, friendly cats which meet the breed standards and are happy household pets. We have bred some show champions and merit winners as well, which is a bonus (and thanks to all their owners) as I mainly focus on breeding rather than showing. I am on the LaPerm Cat Club committee, helped to found the breed club in the UK and am working hard with other breeders to develop and promote the three breeds with which I am involved.
